THE UNINFLUENCED
DESIGNER CONNECT / A COMPONENT OF THE UNINFLUENCED

Talent deserves
a connection.

Independent designers. Real prospects. Exceptional materials. Craft that survives through paid work.

We are building a network where skill and care can open doors beyond the prestige of a label. Designers, fashion institutions, artisans and material suppliers are invited to help shape its first chapter.

THE NETWORK WE ENVISION

The right hands.
The right opportunity.

01 / DESIGNERS

Independent talent

Portfolio-led discovery by specialty, location, availability and budget. Prospects could find someone for bespoke garments, a small collection, pattern development or design consultation.

02 / PROSPECTS

Clear commissions

A practical project brief becomes the starting point for fit, materials, timing, deliverables and price. The planned matching service would support informed introductions.

03 / INSTITUTIONS

Education meets practice

Schools and training institutions could connect alumni, graduate showcases and studio expertise to relevant work. Student involvement needs supervision and agreed terms.

04 / ARTISANS

Living craft

Embroidery, weaving, tailoring and other traditions belong in paid, credited work. Document skill and provenance with the artisan’s permission and retain their voice in the story.

05 / MATERIALS

Cloth with evidence

Connect exceptional cotton, wool, linen, silk and suitable alternatives to the people making the garment. Quality depends on swatches, performance, origin and traceable documentation.

THE COMMERCIAL PRINCIPLES

Opportunity must
respect the maker.

Paid creative work

Agree scope and compensation before bespoke concepts or samples. Protect portfolios and avoid treating unpaid speculative work as the price of entry.

Clear rights and credit

Define use rights, authorship, revisions and delivery milestones in writing. A profile does not transfer a designer’s intellectual property.

Evidence behind claims

Supplier documents, physical samples and consent support provenance and craft claims. No certification or “best in the world” ranking is assumed.

Safe, accountable introductions

The planned service needs identity checks, moderated listings, complaints handling and transparent commercial terms before paid marketplace launch.

TODAY’S TEAM DISCUSSION

Start with real people.
Expand with proof.

  1. Founding networkGather designer, institution, artisan and supplier interest. Agree one region and one commission type for the initial pilot.
  2. Concierge pilotReview profiles manually. Make permission-based introductions and document briefs, quotes, agreements and outcomes.
  3. Marketplace appBuild accounts, portfolio listings, search, availability, secure messaging and booking. Add payment handling and dispute processes only with appropriate terms and partners.
  4. Industry evolutionImprove from designer feedback and successful commissions. Consider material sourcing, institution programs and cross-border workflows as evidence grows.

Business model, fees, launch date and participant verification are not finalized. This is the first public preview of our component, not a claim to have invented the world’s first designer marketplace.
